Horoscopes are Great !

According to my horoscope, the more people I meet, the higher are my chances at finding romance. Jo said even she knows that & ask me why am I still reading this junk ...lol.. ? One because I'm free , two because it's quite funny at times.

Of course I don't 'believe' what they said for real.  I know no one has a crystal ball somewhere & can predict the future. It's all a bunch of common sense, so it'll sound right to anyone reading.

Back to my horoscope, Well I've not dated for a while, so I guess it means I should go for the house warming of one of our colleague's tomorrow night.  Hoping to meet some new people, as my horoscope suggested. Horoscope also advice " to be extra careful with spending until the month is over" ...good excuse to buy a smaller gift I suppose ...lol..

Jo said I'm a cheapo & ask me are there other excuses in her horoscope as well ...lol... For hers it's ' spend wisely as your financial situation for the coming months are uncertain !"  Hmmm... a perfect excuse for her to buy a even smaller house warming gift.
Perfect!
See, horoscopes are useful....  sometimes :))

The perfect investment! Investments that never fails !

Some people can be over enthusiastic & naive about investments. This is what we call a deadly combo. Your banker can sell you any financial products but you don't have to say yes all the time. You don't have to feel bad saying no to them. They are big boys & girls & they are well trained to accept 'NO' in fact they prefer you say no, when you don't quite understand or you really mean 'no'.

This happened to my friend. She was referred a new client by someone. Her mistake was she didn't check her out properly. Because it's a referral & because the client looked & sounded financially savvy. Introduce her to a number of bonds, client bought the bonds & now she's complaining that my friend pushed her to buy something she's not familiar with.

My friend would be fine, cos' the client has signed all kinds of documents proving she understood everything. The problem is, the client knows some big shot in the company & they are breathing down my friend's neck! I guess this is common. It can happen to anyone in every field, in different variations of course.

My friend was so upset & I've been trying to console her. She wanted to quit. "Not worth it!!! " she said. I think, she'll end up migrating to another bank. Why not, if the culture of the company is so quick to blame, it's better to leave. But then again, there's no perfect situation or workplace. Every company has it's own shit I suppose!

The best investments :))

I Need to take Panbesy & GarbaSlim again to lose some weight !

Meant to visit Dr Keith for some Garbaslim fat burner last month. Was very busy at work & with a blink of an eye, a month has passed. And guess what happened ? I've put on another extra 2-3kg since then! I wish my bank account grows in this pace !!! That's the result of one class gathering (a buffet), one wedding and weekend makan sessions with family since my brother came back from HKG - all within a month.

Very desperate. I've no time to exercise. I am just too lazy to put on my yoga gear. & go for my class. Besides I'm too fat to look cute in them anymore! So I've not enroll for any more classes ....

Last week there's some free time so I go to look for Dr Keith. My go-to doctor for any weight related issues. Dr Keith has a very good memory. I've not seen him in ages. And he remember everything about me, which is nice. Told him about my trip & how it kick start my weight gain  ...sob ...sob...

This time I just bought 1 month supply of panbesy,  2 months of garbaslim & a couple of pills for water retention. He said that's enough for me. Before I leave, he reminded me to enroll for my yoga class again ...haha..

One week later, I have lost 2kg. Today I'm going for my yoga class after work 😝

Combo of Garbaslim & Panbesy :))

Freaking fat cells seem to have eternal life !!!

I was looking at myself through my full sized mirror today & realized I have put on a little weight. Was it the vacation I just had? That's the trouble with going on a group tour. They are always feeding you. Breakfast ,lunch & dinner, all on the dot. And there's always excess food, it's as if they are afraid you'll complain. It almost feel like force feeding. Not that anyone is complaining. In fact if there's any lesser food, the tour guide would be in trouble ...haha... It's interesting, people really do count how many dishes there's during each meal. If there's even a suspicion of a missing dish, they'll quickly highlight that to the tour agent! Very interesting!!!

So, my skirt feels tighter today. My face rounder ....urgh ...... My freaking fat cells is not going anywhere! Think I've to visit my Dr again for some Garbaslim -that's my "go-to" fat burner.

Taking Garbaslim to burn away my freaking fat cells ...lol..

Skin colored strawberries anyone ???

Look at these strawberries, would you even buy them? Yes it cost $118-!!!! My colleague go... "they're not even red!" Truth, maybe that's why they cost so much , as in, they are really unusual, strange even. I doubt they even taste good. They don't look very appetizing do they?

We were at the counter at Taka, just gazing at them & wondering if anyone would buy them. And if there are, who are these people? Nope... for me strawberries need to be bright red! I'm not going to pop these skin color abnormalities into my mouth. We all agree & went on to the next fruit at the counter with our commentries ....lol...

Should you be investing in Bitcoin? Some things you should know about bitcoin.

It's no secret, Bitcoin is the latest craze.

What is bitcoin?

Bitcoin is a digital payment system with no intermediaries or banks; it was invented by a person or group using the alias Satoshi Nakamoto, and released as open-source software in 2009. The U.S. Treasury has categorized it as a decentralized virtual currency though some believe it is best described as a "cryptocurrency."- "a digital currency in which encryption techniques are used to regulate the generation of units of currency and verify the transfer of funds, operating independently of a central bank."
Bitcoin uses blockchain technology to record its transactions. It's a publicly distributed ledger for certain financial transactions. It is currently mostly used for bitcoin, but many believe it could be used in a wide variety of financial applications in the future.

The benefits of this system are that it is transparent, secure, and streamlined, so that there are less parties involved in facilitating each and every transaction. Even as the existing payments system becomes ever more convenient and secure, the space is still littered with middle parties taking a small amount from each transaction. These players include payment processors, payment networks, issuing banks, and acquiring banks. The dream of bitcoin and other monetary systems based on blockchain technology is for payers to be free of these inherent costs of exchanging currency for goods.

The potential problems with investing in bitcoin

First, it is not backed or regulated by the government or other entity. This stands in stark contrast to all other forms of currency used around the globe. So, many people view bitcoin as something akin to Monopoly money, because it is neither a fiat currency nor is it based on something of tangible value like gold. In other words, a bitcoin is worth exactly what people perceive its worth to be. While, in a sense, this is true of any currency, the value of a bitcoin is much more fickle than other forms of currency because of its unregulated nature.

Second, bitcoins are not traded on Wall Street. They cannot be bought or sold through a brokerage. Instead, one must set up a bitcoin "wallet," something like a bank account exclusively for bitcoins. Once this account is set up, its holder can link to a traditional banking account and use those funds in local currency to buy and sell bitcoins. This means bitcoin is much less liquid than traditional equities, creating more volatility and wild swings. For instance, in the past month alone, the value of one bitcoin fell from prices over $2,500 to under $2,000 before regaining all-time highs over $3,400. Those are incredibly volatile swings within one month -- something virtually unheard of with any other type of currency!

Finally, the unique way of buying and selling bitcoins not only contributes to its less liquid nature, but has also contributed to higher rates of fraud and theft through uninsured bitcoin exchanges. Also, one should note that none of the bitcoin exchanges have yet established a long business track record.

Where do the price and value of bitcoin go from here?

Unfortunately, no one knows. Many believe, bitcoin could fall anywhere -- from being known as a worthless experiment, to being the greatest disruptive force the financial industry has ever seen.
If friends wanted to purchase a small, speculative position in bitcoin, I wouldn't try to talk them out of it. However -- and I cannot stress this enough -- nothing should be invested in bitcoin currency that an investor isn't comfortable losing.

The cute little monkeys at MacRitchie Reservoir

Last weekend I went to MacRitchie reservoir for a morning walk with some friends. Thought we better do some exercise, the bum getting fat again! Anyway, I've not been there for ages. It's as beautiful as before & full of people. Singaporeans seems to have become quite health conscious, that's a good thing.

Then we saw some monkeys. They do not seem to be afraid of people at all.

The one below even "chased" this lady away from the bench! Well not really chase, the monkey just went to sit behind her, for quite a while, before she even realized & got a shock. They don't mean any harm. I saw one drinking from a yakult bottle, so funny. Well if you go there, make sure you hold on to your bag, as it seems they will snatch any bags or plastic bags away, if you just leave it laying on the floor or bench. They'll think it's food. Cute little guys....
